| Cosmetic Surgery Insurance
For Breast Augmentation
Because society places such emphasis on beauty and the way we look, millions of pounds are spent each year on cosmetic surgery to help us look good and feel more confident about ourselves. We all know the risks involved but they are outweighed by the need to be confident and self-assured. By the time you read this, you will probably already have decided to
have surgery. Some ladies will have obtained a loan to make their breasts
beautiful and taken out insurance in case they become unable to pay back
the loan. So, why not insure against the risks of breast augmentation
and have total peace of mind against having to pay out for another procedure
or medication when the first payment is still reverberating around the
purse. The risk of Infection is caused by bacteria carried in the air. Anyone can get an infection through no fault of the surgical team. Should an infection occur after leaving the hospital, antibiotics will be needed. In a bad case, the implants would have to be removed, the infection cleaned up and more antibiotics administered. You would have to wait around 3 months for it to heal and the implant to be re inserted. Capsular contracture (encapsulation) - When a foreign object is placed in the body, scar tissue will form around it. This is a natural process but occasionally this scar tissue creates a fibrous capsule which contracts, leaving the breast swollen, hard to the touch and painful. The treatment for this is another operation to correct the condition, if manipulation was unsuccessful. These problems can be treated successfully. Sometimes the expense will be absorbed by the surgeon. However, the hospital fees will not be paid for by the surgeon and you may have to find these fees. If you had surgery abroad, you may also have to find the cost of flights and accommodation etc. or a surgeon in your home country, who would be prepared to correct the condition.
There was, until now, only one option open to you. PAY AGAIN. With modern technology and improved medical care, problems are getting rarer but they do still exist and therefore, so does the fear of extra expense. Surely it makes sense to insure yourself against something that NO-ONE can predict will or won't happen. We are all unique. We protect our cars, homes and possessions with insurance but what is more valuable than our bodies? The policy will cover you for:
